Gurukulam system of education used to be free for students in ancient times as sponsored by the state. Hence, Krishna and Sudama could study in the same Gurukulam. While we would like to continue on that tradition, state sponsorship is not available today. Hence, while we are proposing a fee to the parents who can afford it, it is still our endeavour to not deny education to a deserving child due to lack of resources. We also invite scholarships from well-wishers of the Gurukulam to sponsor education of students whose parents can’t afford the Gurukulam fee. There are students from families across different economic strata in the Gurukulam.
Vedic Vidya Kendra’s Gurukulam has all the facilities and amenities required for the students. However, students are not given facilities that will distract them from their studies.
