1. Students can call their parents once in a month on any Sunday through voice or video call for 10 minutes. Gurukulam will share the schedule in which students will call parents. However, the schedule is subject to availability of network, mobile phones and number of students in queue. Students will be allowed to talk to their parents in private. There will be no recording of the conversation.
2. Parents can visit the child during Sept-Jan for a period of 2 days. During this, the child can stay with parents in the cottage in Gurukulam Premises.
3. The rules on parents' visit and stay (duration/fee) will be governed by the rules of Vedic Vidya Kendra Gurukulam which will be made available separately.
4. There will be an annual holiday in Gurukulam. May 10 - 25. It is the responsibility of the parents to pick up the student from the Gurukulam and drop them back within the stipulated period. The student can be picked up any time after 5 pm on 9th May and must report back on 26th May.
5. If the parents delay in bringing back the child, a fee of Rs.500/- per day will be payable. If there is a delay of more than 5 days, the admission of the child will be treated as cancelled.
6. Parents are responsible to ensure that they maintain the environment that the child is getting in the Gurukulam, while they are on their annual vacation. It is in the interest of the child.
7. In case of death/very serious illness in the family, parents can make a request to the Gurukulam Management Committee to allow their son to go back home. The GMC will discuss with the parents and take appropriate decisions based on the situation.
8. In case of injury / serious illness of the child while staying in the Gurukulam, the Gurukulam Management Committee will try to ensure proper treatment of the child. Parents will be informed of the illness. If the illness is serious, the child may be sent home for a few days on the decision of the Gurukulam Management Committee.
