Admission Process

  • 1. Only parents or guardians, teachers of any educational institution can fill the admission form for the students.
  • 2. An admission application fee of Rs. 100 will be payable by the Parent/ Guardian.
  • 3. All forms for admission in the academic year 2023-24 are to be filled by 15th July 2023. Those who fill the form after 15th July will be considered for admission in academic year 2023-24 only if there is any vacancy for admission in Gurukulam. Otherwise the applications will be assessed for the academic year 2024-25.
  • 4. After receiving the applications, the process of their evaluation will start. An online interview of both “Student” and “Parent/Guardian” will be conducted by the teachers. The final round of testing will be completed by 15th August 2023.
  • 5. Each application will be assessed on following parameters –
  • a. Student's ability and interest
  • b. Primary motivation for applying to Gurukulam
  • c. Background of Arya Samaj/Spirituality.
  • d. Specific family situation
  • e. Financial ability of the family to pay the fee.
  • f. The Gurukul Management Committee will take the final decision for admission.
  • 6. In case parents are unable to pay the full fee of their student, they need to specify how much they are willing to pay.
  • 7. Parents' efforts will be made to arrange the remaining amount in the form of scholarship either by the parents or by the Vedic Vidya Kendra.
  • 8. The admission of the student will be informed to the parents by 30th July 2023. Scholarship seeking parents will also be informed whether the scholarship has been arranged for their son or not.
  • 9. Parents are required to pay an admission fee of Rs.500 and also deposit 3 months' fee (or the amount that they have specified in their application form).
  • 10. While giving admission to their son in Gurukulam, the parents have to submit the following documents;-
  • a. Students’ Aadhar card
  • b. Transfer Certificate
  • c. Mark sheet
  • d. Birth certificate (copy)
  • e. Aadhar card of Parents (copy)
  • f. Two passport size photographs each of the student and parents.
  • 11. If the student's admission is confirmed, he/she will be marked for the Gurukulam. It will be mandatory for the marked student to ensure his/her own admission by paying a fee of 8000 for one month.
  • 12. Efforts will be made to train the student through online till the transfer to Puducherry. Information will be given one month or two months before the transfer so that reservation etc. can be done.

Complete Admission Process

The complete process of admission can be understood as follows:

  • 1. Filling the form for admission
  • 2. Giving the entrance exam
  • 3. After getting the result of the entrance exam, getting all the necessary information and finding out the material and route details etc. to be brought along.
  • 4. After coming to the Gurukulam, putting your signatures in the necessary forms etc., getting the items brought etc. tested and Aadhaar card etc. submitted.
  • 5. Now after getting the admission of the student, you will have to leave in the next two days.

Carry-on luggage

  • 1. Two backpack bags
  • 2. A pair of shoes
  • 3. A pair of slippers
  • 4. 1 litre bottle of water
  • 5. Daily utility items
  • 6. Three briefs not longer than knee in plain blue colour
  • 7. Two sheets (to cover)
  • 8. Three t-shirts in plain blue
  • 9. Child's Aadhar card
  • 10. Aadhar card of father and mother
  • 11. Two passport size photographs each of the child and parents
  • 12. Birth certificate
  • 13. Transfer Certificate (TC)

These goods have to be brought in the beginning, after that every week the useful goods are received from the Gurukulam store on time.

Apart from this, if you want to bring any useful item, you can bring it, but if it is not favourable to the system, it can be deposited in the store or can also be sent back such as non-carriable items like essential oil etc.
